About

Inspired by the golden age of Edo Japan, Ukiyo Legal Studio is a boutique consultancy serving both sides of Africa’s creative and cultural economy: we connect global investors to sustainable opportunities across the continent, and support Africa’s own creative founders and brands with the legal and fundraising infrastructure needed to scale their businesses.

We chose these industries because they are often underrepresented, underfunded, and underserved, yet they employ millions and together represent one of the continent’s most compelling modern vectors of growth. Ukiyo positions its clients to access the right markets and capital, navigate legal and operational complexity, and establish a lasting presence, whether they are coming to the continent or already building within it.
